“My work crosses artisanal know-how and conceptual thinking. I deploy both mental and sensual spaces using economic, aesthetic, archaeological, mythological, technological and mineralogical referents, when working on my projects. Fragmented and hybrid representations of the body are one of the articulations this reflection took. I am interested in the female body that I work in relation to the Greek myth of Danaé which condenses economic, sexual and spiritual dimensions. It is also with technologies that I approach the economy considering the raw materials. Technologies that are believed to be dematerialized, however, use a great deal of minerals. By relating the chemical elements used in industry to those used for ceramic oxides, I'm including geo-political and ecological questions in my current approach.”
