"The diverse shapes of the human body, animal bodies, and common everyday objects, such as clothes, accessories, and furniture, mainly embody my ideas. As a young woman, multiple narrations of my work are inevitably filtered by the uncomfortable female experience, either personal episodes or scenarios inspired by realities that are close to mine. In addition to manifesting a feminist identity, fabric is, to me, reminiscent of the human body; a theme that is omnipresent in my work. Like a second skin, fabric is in a constant relationship with our bodies. As it is indispensable to our daily comfort, we shape it, wear it, and mask ourselves with it. I am interpreting the relationships we maintain with our human body by grounding the exterior manifestations of visceral feelings. In that sense, I am sensitive to the different forms of bodily oppression that are manifested in our contemporary cultural and social systems."
