Magali Bélair-Boileau is interested in the domestic environment, the symbolic meaning embedded in the objects that surround us and occupy a place in our lives as well as the relationship we develop with them. Through her work, she tries to translate the magic that emanates from the mundane and from moments of the everyday life that may seem unimportant. Her paintings are a collection of fragments of intimacy, both personal and borrowed, which play with themes like vulnerability, fragility and memory. She explores the contrasts of the interior and the exterior as well as the comfort and the discomfort and tries to paint an unusual portrait of the daily.
