"As a young female painter I wish to make vibrant, delicate and liberated paintings that inspire strength and pleasure. My work has a very strong connexion to the history of art, and specifically the history of painting by female artists. My paintings are a sensitive investigation on different themes observed throughout its history: the female nude, the still life and self-portraiture. The flower, as a symbol and motif, is currently a recurring theme in relationship with the female body. I enjoy painting it as a subject, as a background and on garments the figures wear in my work. I think of myself as a stylist in my own paintings, playing with different patterns and motifs that makes the work dense, complex and vibrant. The feminine figure is often cropped and anonymous, making the viewer voyeur to the bodies that transit from one painting to another."
