Asculpture explores the shared boundaries of the self and the expectations projected onto our corporal forms by society through gender and cultural constructs. Stereotypes are being distorted and exaggerated, as the medium of sculpture allows bodies to become objects and identities to blend with the background, thus absolving them of any markers. Through colour and shape play, identifiable traits are obscured and replaced by artistic principles. Femininity and erotic codes are contrasted by sharp anatomical details. The result is a form that is neither male nor female, neither object nor body, and both powerful and playful for universal beauty and an equalitarian ideal.
